|Læringsmål:||After the course the students should be able to:
1. Discuss theories and frameworks for process and service innovation covered in class focusing on:
a. How to organize process and service innovation initiatives
b. Leadership and governance issues related to multidisciplinary innovation initiatives
c. If/how to balance exploitation and exploration in specific settings
2. Reflect on how theories and frameworks covered in class may be applied in relation to a specific case/empirical setting
|Fagligt indhold:||Please note, that due to technical challenges, changes may occur before the start of the semester (week 35) – this applies to all sections of the course description.
The aim of this course is to provide the students the ability to reflect on issues how to organize, govern and lead process and service innovation initiatives within an organization or inter-organizational networks. The course will cover classic and contemporary theories about process innovation, theories and frameworks about multidisciplinary innovation and finally theories about the innovation dilemma; balancing exploitation and exploration.
|Læringsaktiviteter:||12 forelæsninger + lejlighedsvis øvelser i forbindelse med undervisningen|
Most weeks the students have 2 hours of lecture and 2 hours of exercises. Lectures will be a mix of regular lectures given by the course teachers, guest lectures and case based presentations held by the teachers. During the first half of the course, some lecutres will be replaced by workshops where the students work with a common live case (a firm, a government agency or a not for profit organization visiting ITU). Supervision for the case work will be provided.

|Eksamensform og -beskrivelse:||D22: Aflevering med mundtlig eksamen suppleret af aflevering., (7-scale, external exam)|
Hand-in with following oral exam supplemented by the hand-in (D22)
THe individual hand in should be 6-8 pages.
Duration of exam: 20 minutes per student incl. assessment and feedback.
