6) Summarize data using basic inferential methods (estimation and hypothesis test) and discuss findings.
|Fagligt indhold:||The course gives an introduction to user survey and basic statistical analysis methods. The course thus gives an introduction to methods that are assumed to be known at many other courses at ITU.
In particular, the emphasis is on the understanding and use of quantitative methods. Treatment of quantitative data in a software program is also part of the course. In addition, the course also introduces an industry standard business intelligence tool.
The learning activities of this course consist of lectures and group work.
The group work includes designing a questionnaire, conducting a questionnaire survey and analyzing data. As most user surveys are conducted in smaller groups in practice, the emphasis of teaching is placed on learning through group work.
After each lecture, the theory reviewed is translated into answering assignments in groups. The tasks consist of 3-4 part questions, which the groups regularly answer after the lectures and in approx. 3-5 weeks. Once all the questions (within one assignment) have been answered, there comes a new assignment.
Workload: On average 12 hours per week
|Obligatoriske aktivititer:||The course contains 3 compulsory group assignments, which must be passed before the individual assignment can be submitted.
What if the student fails to pass a mandatory activity:
